Itinerary Details

Day 1: Transfer from Darjeeling to Thimphu (336KMS | APPROX 10-12 HOURS) Start your day very early at 6 am from Darjeeling and drive down to Phuentsholing-The gateway to Bhutan. At arrival at Phuentsholing gate you will be met by one of our guide just outside the arrival hall. After completing the international immigration, you will immediately drive to Thimpu. (little walk at border, and then to immigration). Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan and the perfect location to transition from your familiar lifestyle to our unique country that is like no other place on earth. Here you will begin to appreciate our local customs as you get your first glimpse of monks dressed in traditional red robes, men in striped ghos, and women in brightly colored kiras. Once you settle into your hotel, we will begin to unlock the mysteries of Bhutan by touring Thimphu’s most important sites if time permits. Hotel: City Hotel Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha (Approx 75kms |02 hrs) Morning sightseeing: Tallest Buddha Statue, Buddha Dordenma is 5 km away from Thimphu City and will take15 minutes from Thimphu town and lies on the elevation of 2600mts/8500fts above the sea level and it is 51 mtrs /158 fts. Buddha Dordenma, name has been derived from Bodhgaya where Buddha got the enlightenment. The project has been started in 2005 and the person who have initiated is Lam Tshering Wangdi and business man Peter Tee from Singapore. Finally, it was open to public on 25th September, 2015 to mark the 60th birth anniversary of 4th Druk Gyelpo We will travel to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan until 1955, and will stop off at Dochula Pass along the way. This popular tourist spot provides stunning 360-degree views of the Himalayas. It is also home to the 108 Druk Wangyal. Chortens that were built on a small hill to memorialize the Bhutanese soldiers killed in a 2003 battle with Assamese insurgents from India. The Druk Wangyal Lhakhang temple was completed in 2008, built to commemorate 100 years of monarchy and His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the fourth king, and leader of the raid that removed the Indian rebels. We will tour what is considered one of the most beautiful site in Bhutan, Punakha Dzong. Sitting at the fork of two rivers, it is a stunning example of Bhutanese architecture. Dinner & Overnight at Punakha Hotel: White Dragon Hotel Day 3: Punakha to Bumthang (213kms | Approx 6hrs) Bumthang is one of the most beautiful places in Bhutan. It has very beautiful undulating landscapes with many fruit trees and temples. Bumthang is in the area where Buddhism first took hold in Bhutan. The town has several temples including Kuje Lhakhang (dating from the 8th century) Jampey Lhakhang (associated with Guru Rimpoche who brought Tantric Buddhism to Bhutan and Tibet) and Jakar Dzong. Hotel: Kalia Choenzem Guest House Day 4: Bumthang to Zhemgang (167 kms | Approx 5hrs 10 mins} Zhemgang Dzongkhag about 85% of the total area is under forest cover. This large forest cover makes it a very rich place in biodiversity. This place along with the Manas national Park is the home of about 22 endangered animal species. Some of the other areas which are protected are Jigme Singye Wangchuck and Thrumshingla National Park. The main sources of livelihood are animal husbandry and agriculture. Hotel: Eco Lodge Day 5: Zhemgang to Paro (304 km | Approx. 8hrs 30mins) Reach Paro Overnight: Dorjiling hotel Day 6: Tiger’s Nest Monastery trek Taktsang Monastery - Often called the Tiger’s Nest, perched on the cliffs, has awestruck many a visitor. Trip to Bhutan is never complete without climbing to Taktsang. Indeed, it’s true as the journey there fills you with spiritual bliss. For those not choosing the spiritual side, it is the dramatic, artistically built monument that becomes a hiker’s delight. Take a trip to this dramatically set Buddhist relic hanging from a cliff. Experience the uphill climb as you ascend more than two thousand feet from the valley floor. Overnight in Paro: Dorjiling Hotel Day 7: Paro to Bagdogra (306 km| Approx 9-10hr) Leave from Paro at 9 am for Bagdogra. Reach Phuentsholing and change vehicle. Little walk at border Overnight at Bagdogra*: The Loft (Breakfast Plan), Siliguri Day 8: Board Flight from Bagdogra to Bengaluru

Booking: On confirmation of booking your contract is with Wild Nest Travel & Photography Pvt. Ltd.(Wildnest). A contract exists between us when we confirm your tour/travel services and have received the deposit amount from your end.
Payment: To confirm the booking 50% of the amount, need to be paid to Wildnest at the time of booking. Balance 35 days before the trip start date.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / NO SHOW / EARLY DEPARTURE : In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows.

Wildnest Services, Guide, Driver and Lodge Cancellation Policy:
• 90 days before check-in: 20% on total invoice amount as banking and administration fee
• Between 90 - 50 days before trip date: 30% of total invoice amount
• Between 50 - 30 days before trip date: 50% of total the invoice amount.
• Between 30 - 15 days before trip date: 70% of total the invoice amount.
• Bookings cancelled under 15 days before check-in or No Show: 100% of the invoice amount.

• Last minute bookings are non- refundable, and no refunds shall be made.

Accommodation will be provided for booked dates only and no refund shall be entertained for unused nights or early check outs due to whatsoever reasons.
• Postponement of dates is tantamount to cancellation.
*Please note that all kind refunds will take 15 days or more to process.

Our liabilities & limitations:
Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, Forest Safaris, Guide Charges, taxes by the Govt. of India, transport, accommodation the same would be charged as extra on actual basis. The tickets, coupons or passage contract in use by carrier / hotel or other contractors rendering services shall constitute the sole contract between the Clients and such contractor.

Wildnest shall not be responsible for any delay or change in programme or expenses incurred or special / consequential loss, injury and damage - directly or indirectly - due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures, acts of God, perils incident to the sea, floods, fire, acts of Government or any other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control or any untoward incidents or any such causes whatsoever including any liability or extra expenses sustained by the Clients. Further, the Clients shall be liable for the liability or extra expenses incurred by him / her as a result of the forgoing causes.

Wildnest shall not be responsible and shall not accept any liability towards the Clients or his/her legal representative for any loss of property or damages resulting from death or injuries including loss of services which the Clients may sustain on account of act, negligence or default by any transportation Company, hotel agents or any other body of persons, its agents or service providers providing such services or facilities or arising out of or while engaged in any tour, means of transportation or other
services, whether due to ownership, maintenance , use, operation or control of any automobile, bicycle, boat, motor, or other vehicle in common carrier or otherwise and whether due to its or there negligence or otherwise or regardless of how caused. Clients using sporting equipment, bicycles, sailing boats, scuba diving gear, hired or supplied by hotels or rental bodies shall do so at their own risk.
All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client's risk.

Wildnest
reserves the right to cancel any services in case it deems that the tour, trip or passage is impracticable for any reason or should circumstances warrant such action, upon refunding the value thereof and the Client shall not have any other or further claim against the company by any reason thereof.

Wildnest reserves the right to refuse to carry out its contract with any person whom it may consider to be undesirable in its absolute discretion and it shall not be required to show any reason for doing so. All disputes arising in connection with this Agreement shall be referred to an Arbitrator to be appointed by Wild Nest Travel & Photography Pvt. Ltd. All such disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Ghaziabad (India) Courts only. The laws of India shall govern the validity, interpretation, construction, performance and enforcement of these terms and conditions.
