Season: April - October | Highlights: Landscapes Begin your journey in the lush Kashmir Valley. Use this day to acclimate and explore the serene local landscapes and waterways. The gentle environment provides a peaceful setting to prepare equipment and gear for the rugged, high-altitude days ahead.

Season: April - October | Highlights: Landscapes, War Memorial Embark on the dramatic drive from Srinagar to Kargil. This transit day is filled with striking shifts in geology as green valleys transition into imposing, rocky mountains. A visit to the Kargil War Memorial offers a poignant historical context and a moment of reflection amidst the sweeping peaks.

Season: April - October | Highlights: Monasteries, Town Life, Lakes Arrive in the high desert town of Leh, the central hub of the region. These days are crucial for acclimatization. Explore ancient monasteries perched precariously on rocky outcrops and wander through the historic town. The surrounding areas and crystal-clear lakes offer phenomenal vantage points for capturing the massive scale of the surrounding peaks and the vibrant high-altitude birdlife that thrives in these environments.

Season: May - Mid October | Highlights: Desert, Bactrian Camel, Landscapes, Stargazing Cross high mountain passes into the striking cold deserts of Nubra Valley. Spend time tracking and photographing the unique double-humped Bactrian camels against the sweeping sand dunes. As night falls, the stark lack of light pollution provides a flawless canvas for capturing the Milky Way and deep-sky stargazing.

The profound tranquility of the valley makes for another exceptional evening of stargazing.

Season: April - October | Highlights: Stargazing, Monasteries, Nature Journey to Hanle, home to one of the world's highest astronomical observatories and some of the clearest skies on the planet. Beyond the ancient monastery, the pristine nature of this region is a quiet haven for high-altitude wildlife. The nights here are dedicated entirely to celestial observation, offering arguably the best astrophotography conditions in the region.

Season: April - October | Highlights: Stargazing, Lakes Conclude the summer circuit on the vast, sweeping plains of the Changtang Plateau. The shimmering, expansive alpine lakes reflect the sky and mountains, creating perfect mirror-like compositions.
